Diablo 2 act 3 second quest8/26/2023 ![]() Somewhere in this dungeon, you’ll find the entrance to the Frozen River, which is where you’ll find the town’s alchemist Anya who you’ve been sent to rescue. All you need to do is head past the Frigid Highlands into the Arreat Plateau and then make your way to the Crystalline Passage. After completing the last quest, you can start this one. If you’re hurting for resistances, this quest from Malah is an important one. It’s a great way to cheaply raise your resistances if you need it. If you have a three-socket shield handy, you can combine those three runes to create the Ancient’s Pledge runeword. He’ll give you the Tal, Ral, and Ort runes and let you hire Barbarian mercenaries. Once you finish the quest, go talk to Qual-Kehk for your reward. That said, you probably won’t have much trouble with them by this point. The Frigid Highlands is also home to three different mini-bosses that you’ll likely encounter. When they mount either, they’ll send out massive blasts of fire, so deal with them quickly or avoid them entirely. Not only will they teleport away from your attacks, but they can use towers around the crumbling buildings and a new monster called the Crush Beast to power up their attacks. This area is mostly guarded by Demon Imps, making it one of the more frustrating locations in Diablo 2: Resurrected. Then break down the door holding them in and watch them use a Town Portal to escape. Just pay attention to your mini-map and look for bright white squares. These are randomly scattered around the environment, so there’s no real trick to finding them. You need to roam around the Highlands looking for wooden prisons that are holding five soldiers each. Talk to him in the middle of Harrogath and he’ll ask you to free 15 Barbarian soldiers in the Frigid Highlands. When you enter the Frigid Highlands, your Quest Log will pop up and tell you to go see Qual-Kehk to learn more. You don’t have to do this right away and can save it for when you have a better item in your possession. He will now add sockets to an unsocketed item. ![]() Once he’s dealt with, head back to town and talk to Lazruk. He’s not actually too difficult himself, but he’s surrounded by a massive horde of Enslaved that he will immediately start turning into exploding enemies, which can blow you up quickly. When you eventually make your way to Shenk, prepare yourself for quite a battle. You can outrun their attacks, but if you get locked into place near a group of Maulers, you’ll be in trouble. Finally, you’re going to fight several Death Maulers, which can shoot tentacles into the ground and attack you from range. Their health pool is pretty low, but they can be incredibly annoying to deal with. You’ll also run into Demon Imps who teleport and throw fireballs. They can also be joined in battle by Lashers, which aren’t too tough on their own, but do provide the Enslaved with a damage buff and can mutate them into enemies that explode when they get close to you. They’re pretty simple to deal with but do attack in large numbers. The fodder enemies of Act V are the Enslaved. In this area, you’ll come up against quite a few brand-new monsters. Be careful that you don’t run past him up the steps that lead to the Frigid Highlands. There’s no real trick here, you just need to fight through his hordes until you reach him. Talk to the town’s blacksmith Larzuk or just head out the front door to kick off the first quest.įor this first, optional quest, you need to seek out Shenk the Overseer past the town gates. As before, keep working on building up key stats depending on your build and keep those resistances high. You’ll have the full list of six quests to work through and some extensive locations to explore. Things go back to normal for Act V after Act IV ended on a shorter note. The final act takes you to Harrogath, a town run by Barbarians at the foot of Mount Arreat. This guide will cover Act V Quests and how to complete them.įor more information on Diablo II: Resurrected, click below for other Wowhead Diablo II: Resurrected Guides: Welcome to the Act V Walkthrough Guide for Diablo II: Resurrected Patch 2.7 & Ladder Season 4.
